About Us

WHO Are We?

We are businesses and public schools (12 school districts) in Racine County.

HOW do we work?

The focus of our work together in Project CAPE is clear: Raise student achievement - especially in those students who are poor and disadvantaged; prepare all students for post-secondary education, work, and citizenship in the 21st century.

Why was CAPE created?

Project CAPEThe desire to invest in public schools is the business community’s way to help shape the future, to make a real difference in our society.

Responding to the needs of ALL students requires hard work and a continuous assessment of “how we do school.”  Schools can meet this challenge with the support of corporate dollars to supplement public funds.  It is in our public school classrooms that the future of this country will be charted, one student at a time.

WHAT do we do?

Project CAPEPublic Schools have wonderful ideas for improving student achievement, but often lack funding to implement those ideas.  Project CAPE, Collaboration to Advance Public Education, intends to provide that funding.

Initiated by Runzheimer International, working in conjunction with other Racine County businesses, and driven by core beliefs in the power and promise of public schools to bring success to every child, Project CAPE will offer funding and educational consulting to schools striving to help all children learn at higher levels.

WHERE do we happen?

The improvement processes and actions to raise student achievement will take place in the schools that receive funds.

WHEN will we begin?

Project CAPE began in Autumn, 2006, and will continue for years to come.  Successful schools will continue to receive assistance.
