Schools exist to ensure that all students learn at high levels. This requires professional inquiry by staff to address the challenges they face. In Project CAPE schools this inquiry and reflection has resulted in funding for changes in practice and in improving student learning.
As applicants prepare proposals for financial assistance, they are reminded that special consideration will be given to those that relate to the operating principles and exhibits on our website.* It is important to reflect on your whole organization’s profile, whether you are a teacher applicant, team applicant, a school, cluster of schools, or a whole system. Your proposal should be explained in the context of the strengths and challenges identified in your district and the priorities established.
The use of data, collaboration in teams, a results orientation, and a process for learning and ongoing improvement – these are the essential elements that good schools put together as they reach for greatness in serving all children. We at Project CAPE look forward to working with the educators whose proposals are funded, in their journey to greatness.
Schools that show evidence of increased student achievement as a result of their efforts have the potential to receive funding on a continued basis annually. Details on how to apply are listed in the FAQs section of our website.
