Rex Runzheimer is the Chairman, CEO, and owner of Runzheimer International. He is transforming a 75 year old company by making key organizational and strategic changes to ensure the company is competitive in the fast-paced, technology-driven marketplaces in which it competes. Under his leadership, the company, which provides employee mobility services and products, has grown and solidified its strong client base of over 3,000 companies.
Mr. Runzheimer holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree form UW-Madison, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. He serves in the Young Presidents Organization and The Executive Committee to provide leadership and insight through education, discussion and reflection on important business topics with key leaders of Wisconsin’s top companies. His vision in creating Project CAPE is in keeping with his dynamic leadership and commitment to improving school systems that prepare children for success in a global society.
Dr. William Kritek, Ph.D. [open]

Bill Kritek is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Administrative Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During his 33 years at UWM, he taught courses in School Finance, the Politics of Education, Program Planning and Evaluation, and Instructional Leadership. He served as department chair and was Associate Dean of the School of Education for 11 years.
Among his publications are a book titled “Effecting Change in Urban Schools,” and a co-edited book titled “Coordinating Services Among Schools, Families and Communities.”
Dr. Kritek has received government and foundation funding for a number of projects including one supported by the GE Fund titled “Ensuring Quality Leadership,” that sought to bring the best practices of business to school principals. He continues to be involved in the Wallace Foundation Leadership Program. He brings the highest level of expertise to achieving the mission of Project CAPE.
Dr. Ronda Ewald, Ph.D. [open]

Ronda Ewald is Executive Director of Project CAPE. With more than thirty years of experience in education, Dr. Ewald began her career as a first grade teacher in New York City and has served in various leadership roles in the public schools of Wisconsin, including K-12 superintendent, principal, UW adjunct professor, equity coordinator, and classroom teacher. As director of a corporate child development center, she developed some of the first assessment tools to assure quality early childhood programming and support of working parents.
Dr. Ewald has published articles and conducted state and national workshops on topics ranging from the importance of quality early learning programs and parenting to leadership for organizational change. Her resume’ includes significant accomplishments in mentoring other leaders, developing successful school business partnerships, service on community boards, and other awards.
Dr. Ewald holds a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia, River Forest, a Master’s from CUNY, and a Specialist and PhD in Administration from UW Madison. Her doctoral research and much of her practice has focused on the courageous leadership of principals and their critical roles in building successful systems.
